Red splotches on white hoofs. awwwwww

He was starting to get a little hungry

getting a little impatient...apperiently I was supposed to be feeding him and not taking pictures to show off. :)

Great body structure? heheheehe

Lets Ski

This weekend Narve, Laila, and I went to some friends cabin. It was amaizing and a little more high tech than my own house at home I think. :) You'll know what I mean once you look at the pictures below. Anyway, enjoy!

So, this is a church that is getting re-modeld right next to the Catholic one in Drammen. This picture was taken back when I went with Sigs to church last Friday. It was our first time going there, and had I known the church we were searching for was right next to this one, I would have taken a picture of it too. :) I saw this one, took a picture, and then continued on for another 10 or so minutes searching for the Catholic church. ha.... oops, it was right next to it. Anyway, it was a nice looking church, so I thought I might put it on here.

k.....so picture from the cabin, here we go. Lets start with the first steps into the door. Check out the ceileing here. The architeture was very well thought through...at least it looks that way. :) You have the nice Living room area here, with a wall of windows that look out to the southish.

Cabin?....or house? ha. I'd live here.

How cozy is this? I love it! Here you've got lace curtains, with green plaid over hangs, and matching red lamps. Anita, I took these for you and your interior decorating ideas.

Old things have always cought my attention. (I just wish I would have taken a better picture here.) awwww.

Ready beside the door for when you need to go out at night. hehehe. Nope, but still, its adorible and deserved a picture.

....in the halway

Thats the door to my room. And the cutly hung guitar on the wall right next to it. (I tried playing it....with the D string missing, and the rest out of tune....ha....it sounded amaisint)

Mom, this ones for you, it kinds looks latino....???? I donno. But it was also a wall hanging.

Mkay, this is when the impressive pictures begin. Here we have a couple bathroom pictures. (Keep in mind the man of the house is a plumber. ha) K.....its hard to see here, but if you look to the right you can see like a "glass wall" kinda. And then to the left you see a wall that split into like two diaginols kinda. Hard to explaine, but yeah....inside this "box" is the shower. you can see the spout above. But wow, it was amaizing. For a cabin.....or actually, for a house in general....this bathroom is impresive.

Yeah, check this out. Fancy or what? The water like streems down into the glass sink. The 21st century, ha, who would have thunk it.

Before our Friday supper of Tacos! I dont know what I will do during lent. :( We barely ever ate tocos at home....but now I think I am adicted.

Another picture of the surounding and the atmosphere, kinda blurry though. I was just supper amaized when I first walked in. It was so nice.
A nice picture of the entery to the hall way. You can see here the old glasses I had taken a picture of before, the dresser, and you can also see in the corner a sewing machine, an old camera, wooden spoon, wooven chair.....how amizing is this place? wow.

Just a closer look at the decorations.

Cute little lamp.....awwwww

So this one was for the nature loves out there. The wooden structural base of this lamp cought my eye.

Keeping it rural!!!! easy to do when your in the middle of nowhere, in America or Norway......Mountains or Plains.

There must be a mix up in the dowloading of order of the picture, because this is the deliciously tasty meat we had with our tacos earlier. hehehe.

Cold? not a chance. This oven keeps you nice and toasty

The orange ear flapped hunting hat......(p.s. NO, the curtains are not a part of my head....)
Camera war!....actually Im not so sure Narve knew he was playing. :)

awww...look at the way the snow situated on the fence. Isnt it so cute?

Once you sit in this chair, you could finish a whole book wihtout getting up.....and its right next to the stove too, which is great.

Ingeborg Bjorklund......awww......I HIGHLY recomend you to read "The Red River of the North" series by Lauraine Snelling. This picture defines the books.

More art...you can never have enough. An't it cute?!?!

Typical Norwegian? sure. ha.

Fresh, warm, amaizing, bread

Brød=Bread

Breakfast!!! Waking up to a nicely smelling bacon and egg filled house made my day.

Sigurd the chef

Noramal plates? WHAT? We dont use stuff this fancy unless the King was comming or something.

I just like this picture. Its kinda cute. Not just the scenery, but also the ski poles too. :)

When we went Skiing, I went ahead of the others and kept going and enjoyed the scenery at my own pace. I finaly got to a crossroad in the path and thought I should probably wait until the others cought up so we didnt get seperated. 10 Miniutes later, Lailas red jacket showed up down the path. She was by herself and we turned around together and went back to the cabin. The scenery was amaising and I am in love with skiing now!

No matter how cold it is out, the fact of being with such wonderful people....and doing physical activity, it warms you up so quick.
Icy eyelashes.....at one point we had to stop while I scraped my eyes with my mittens, I could feel them freezing shut on the sides. ha.

My hair turned into like little white strands. Its cutter to see on Lailas hair, since its black.

This is how tall the snow was!!!!!!!!

snowed over iceicles that are off of the roof.

just plane adorible

Sigurd roastin up some nice hot dogs

While Sigurd was out back in charge or watching the hot dogs, Laila and I went out front and made a fake Ski race clip and some videos. So....Picture one: This is 5 seconds before the finish line.

Picture two: As the right ski goes over the finish line before "all the other contestants."
Picture 3: Colapsing immediatly after the finish line after such and exausting race

yeah, still colapsed. ha. But anyway, I dont know how much Skiing is on t.v. in Amerika, because I know I hadnt seen it this much....but anyway, here its on t.v. all the time and this is EXACTLY (hahaha) what it looks like. Anyway....yup, it was fun making.

Hot dog buns???? unheard of. Here the norm is to eat it on a taco shell. Excuse me.....a potato shell. (lumpe...a potato pankake apperiently.....BAHAHAH who has heard of such a thing....crazy Norwegians.)

Norwegian lessons again, and again. argh. I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

K.....the next few pictures are a documentory of how to make the most delicios desert ever. It was a half of a pear in the bottom of a bowl. Carmely type icecreem on top. Then scraped dark chocolate shavings on top of that. Then a Mozart chocolate syripy alchoholy thingy. No idea. I should probably pay more attention to the details here. ha. But, I have a video you can view later.....of a step by step replay of how to make it. :) You can thank me later. (k...actually, just tried to upload this video like a million times an it wont work. All my friends have tried to do it as well, with no luck....I will keep trying. Sorry)
Dark choclate shavings!!!!!!!!

Laila adding the final touches.
Yummmie.....

K...this is a coconut shell that I thought looked so cute. Inside is a bunch of letters to play a game.

The top lion.

The longest word in Norwegian. (just kidding) Its nothing. But what the game is....is that one person picks a catagori (like...animals, or girls names, or kitchen supplies or something) and then that same person digs into the coconut and picks a letter of the alphabet. They say the letter outloud and the first person who says something that starts with that letter from that cattigory wins the letter. In the end, whoever has the most letters....wins. It was really fun.

Narve, ???, and Sigurd about to start our race.

this would be me RANDOMLY falling after that first picture was taken. We wernt moving, so I have no idea why it happend. I was just standing there.....and then....bang. ha. Im still getting used to having slipery boards under my feet. :)

and yes....laila was able to catch the whole entire process of me trying to get back up again. :D Takk for det.

...still not up...

...still not up

K...this is a little hard and a little embarasing to explaine. Heres the deal. The four of us, Laila, Narve, Sigurd, and I were standing at some crossroads to try and think about which direction to go. As we were stading there, I was playing with my poles and twirlying them and doing random stuff. I flung them up, hit my forhead.....and then.....well....they stuck. They wernt there for more then 5 seconds, and they were stuck. I fell over trying to get them off....and Laila took some pictures.

Narve had to come and rip them off for me because I could let go of the poles. My mittens were stuck in the straps and so I was stuck like this until Narve helped. :D Yeah, anyway......once we got them off, I had two stripes acros my forehead on the hair band. ha...you could see where they had gotten stuck. Anyway, yup, this was our trip like three hours away, to the cabin. It was amaizing and thank you guys for taking me!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ0p6dPIJTs&NR=1 This is a video of the 3 hour car ride home...hehehe. Alot can happen in that amount of time, and you can cover a lot of beautiful ground. Enjoy!
