The past couple of days

On onsdag, Sigrid, Tonje, Pernille, Solveig, and Marlen came over after school for a while and we all had a "Grøt Party." :) Sigrid is here and wants to write about it.....take it away Sigs:

Therese had made grøt and brownies, and decorated the table with super cute red little hearts and candles. When all the girls where there we started eating, and Tonje got the almond!(in Norways its normal to hide an almond in the "grøt", and the one who get it gets a gift). She tried really hard to hide it, but yeah, that didn't work out too good. So she won a marispangris, which she ate all by her self whitout sharing!!! Later we watched a really cute movie, Love Actually. Everyone were drooling over Hugh Grant, except Sara, she only likes cowboys. When the movie was over we talked for a while, and then everyone headed home. It was a really HYGGELIG evening, and we already set a date for grøtkveld next year!

:D Alrighty then....ha, anyway, mkay, on Friday after school Tonje, Oda, Sigrid, Pernille, Therese, and I went to see a show called Putti Plutti Pot. But...lets start from the begining. So, the last class of the day for me was Trykk og Foto. Sigrid and I have that class together.

Quotes

Amaizingly wonderful quotes:

"Is that a white sock, or just your skin?"
- Sigrid Novum

Sigrid -"Corn? Whats that?!"
Sara - "Ya know, like seed corn."
Sigrid - "Oh, like a corndog?"
Sara - "Ha, no. Like an ear of corn."
Sigrid - " Oh!!! Like one of those you put on a gril."

Sigrid - "What would you like for Christmas?"
Sara - "Hmmm.....whatever." :)
Sigrid - "Well, I thought about getting you perfume, but I think getting you a troll or something
would be better...you remind me more of a troll."

"The news on t.v. should just be called 'Bad News'."
- Henry Broomfield

"The reason Norwegians are always depresed is because the news on t.v. tells you that the reason little kids are starving is because you didnt donate 5 kr to their organization."
- Henrik Nesje Johannesen

"These brownies taste better than air."

Amie is a dalmation...hehehehe
Mkay. So. I took the train to Oslo to meet a couple of friends who live close by in Jesheim. Once I arived at the train station we needed to catch a bus to Racheals house. We had been standing by B25 the whole time snaking on our normal black liquarish....that I had gotten in my Christmas calander....when we noticed that our bus was not comming. ha. We keep seeing other busses and they always went waaaaay down the line. So, just when we decided to look elsewhere our bus went whizzing past us. ha. It stoped allll the way down and the three of us went running down to catch it. We cought it, and were on our way.
When we got to Racheals house we had some time before we would be going to Jesheim for some Christmas shopping. So, what else are three girls to do than CUT HAIR? Do you like it?
Yeah, did I mention that they are 15 and 16 years old and have never cut hair before in their entire lives...yeah. mkay. And I enjoyed getting the news flash that after Emily told me she had cut hair before she ..maybe 5 minutes into the cut.....let me know that what she ment was that she had only cut bangs before. Yeah! um....EXCUSE ME!?!??!?!?! Your cutting my hair for goodness sake. ha. I normaly dont even let people do my hair, let alone cut it. At least in the end it turned out better than what was running through my mind the whole time. hehehehe.
Racheals dad took us into Oslo for some Christmas shopping on Karl Johans Gate. We had a blast. I wanted a picture with the tiger, but apperiently the head isnt an immportant part of the sculputre....ha.
Alrighty, so...when I got back from hangin out with Racheal and Emily, and the fun weekend was over, I came home to a party. Laila had made lutefisk and had a bunch of friends over. As you can see from the pictures, we all had a blast.
Laila had boughten red noses for everyone as welcome gifts, wrapped each one individually, and set them on each plate. Here, she is modeling hers off. :D
work buddies!
Therese og Robert
My half of the Christas calander..the other half of the wall is Thereses

theres nothin like a little partner dancin on a table with a housefull of adults over the age of 45...hahaha.
Even Therese got the jidderbug

Tryiing to put a nose on Amie but I think its a little to big and the nose pops off. ha. (Not so sure why my face is so akwordly happy)

Getting ready for the big wrapping day. Now that I have all of my shopping done, everyone brought down their presents and we wrapped together. Fun times with Christmas music to get us in the spirit.....Helene even showed up!
Helene had a big test comming up. She is trying to become an electrition and works with her dad on the job. This test was the make it or brake it.

Therese and I went to Tonjes house to bake gengerbread cookies with some firends. We got a little caried away. hehehe.
Solveig....not so sure how her hat was able to stay sticking up that whole duration of the snapshot. talented girl your looking at right there.
it doesnt get much better than that...ha...perfect circle
We had a ton of cookie cutters, but I prefered to make due with a knife and a little imaginative creativity. hehehe.
Now Lailas gingerbread house has some major compotition. Ha...I cant decide which is better.

remember that first picture....well, here is the "modeled version" of it. This, my friends, is a fantasticly beautifyl pensil.
I am almost as talented as Solveig..ha..but not quite hehehehe
Sigs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with "her" hat....ha
Oh my goodnes we had a wonderfully awsome snowball baseball game. I started playing inside with Tobias, the broom handle, and a sponge. When the game got too out of control for the classroom we headed outside and played there. We tried to through snow balls over the flag pole with no succes an then aimed at people walking by. When we got tired of that we went back to playing baseball but this time it was the broom handle and a snow ball. Mkay, when I say broom handle I mean like the handle of one of those broom thingys that has a box where you sweep in all the dirt. So..on with the story. Well, we were playing, he pitched, I swung, and PHIEW.....away went the handle flying, sowaring through the air and landed with a thud not more than 3 sentemiters away from the wall of the school which consists of like 70 % glass windows. The hole class...well, all the kids playing atleast...left the broom there and ran back into the classroom. It wasnt until I started to thaw out that I noticed my hands were FROZEN. argh. But man was it worth it.
One day I went home from school early. The only way to get there without waiting for the bus for two hours, was to get on one, and switch, and switch again...and then go home. I was RELLY nervous because after beeing here for four months, I still dont like the bus system and eik..its just weird. So...anyway, I got of in Åros and when I turned around, I saw ......this! Not sure if its a house or what. But it looked cool enough and worthy of a photo. I will never forget that moment. I struck me by surprise.
My couzin Stine....always with a smile, and a chortle
Dag Olav...King of the Quotes
Trying to tie a tie...hehehe...not sure if the toung sticking out looking like a cow was necessary, but hey...pictures always capture the best moments, am I right? hahaha

By the time I got around to the other side of the table to take a picture of the cake that Janiche made, it was already more than half way devoured. Speaks for itslef...it was delicious.
Sing star! The game that requires you to sing tunes to songs youve never heard before. yeah....that was probably what made it so much funner thatn it should have been. I loved how the whole family was together happy and having fun. Except for the part where I randamly fell asleap on two chairs after we ate...
